Green Building Certification Systems are commonly used in our country and in the world:
These systems assess and classify structures and buildings in terms of certain main criteria such as land, energy, natural resources, materials/resources and wastes.
EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), which is requested from producers of building materials in green building certification systems, contain quantitative information about environmental performance and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases. Therefore, all green building certification systems in the world encourage and support the use of products having an EPD declaration and provide additional points/scores during assessments for EPD declaration.
What is EPD (Environmental Product Declaration?
It is a declaration that quantitatively assesses and certifies the environmental performance of a product or service which is identified according to ISO 14025 in terms of certain pre-designated criteria (raw material output, use and efficiency of energy; material and chemical contents; emissions released to air, water and soil; waste generation) and based on the parameters established in line with ISO 14040 series.
As a Building Materials producer, we cooperate with IBU (Institut Bauen & Umwelt / German Environment and Construction Association), which is an independent association, for the purpose of making a contribution to Aspen Green Building Systems. With the EPD declarations which were published by IBU, Aspen is proud to be the first company that has been awarded this declaration in the Turkish sector of Suspended Ceiling and Partition Wall products.
You can access to our products that have Environmental Product Declaration in the section Certificates and Documents.
