Odile Decq is an architect, city designer, and academic winner of many international awards. Known worldwide for her work and unusual gothic style, Odile Decq was educated in France. She started her career right after graduating from Ecole d'Architecture de Paris-La Villette in 1975. She crossed paths with her wife Benoit Cornette in 1985 and continued her work in the architectural office of ODBC Architects (Odile Decq Benoit Cornette Architectes-Urbanistes).

Banque Populaire de l'Ouest Headquarter Office, which she designed in 1990, made a great impression. The steel-constructed building is the first to be built with a sunshade. Maison Bernard, one of the iconic representatives of organic architecture, was renovated by Odile Decq and her office. Reminiscent of interconnected bubbles, the structure is designed to feature furniture that matches the 1970s design along with a curved interior. The building opens as a museum today.
