For the architectural design of a building to be considered a good design, the project is considered as an all. The things that make up the complete architectural design are; In the first stage, it is listed as landscape design, building design, interior design, and facade design. However, for someone looking at the building from the outside, the first impression will be the exterior design of the building and the facade design, which is a part of the design. Facade design; creates an interface between interior and exterior. With the correct use of this interface, both an aesthetic building envelope can be obtained and effective interior spaces can be presented to the users with the contribution of facade technology.

Facade design; It is a part of architectural design, and
because it is an important means of expression in design, it bears the traces
of the place where the building is located, influenced by its environment,
culture and community. The “Saadat Abad Residence Building” in Tehran, Iran is
one of the beautiful examples that carry the aforementioned cultural reflection
on its surfaces. The religious, cultural, and geographical structure of the
region has been effective on the facade of the building. The facade has been
created with a design approach that creates a border with the outside and
observes the privacy of the interior space. The brick panels used on the facade
both provide this privacy and help air circulation with its perforated
structure. In addition, the tile material used is a reference to the cultural
memory of the region.

Another effective element in facade design is the functions
of the buildings. Since the usage period and purpose of each building are
different, architects and civil engineers may prefer alternative carrier
systems as much as can also use these systems for the shell and facades of the
buildings. Each building requires the application of different facade systems.
While similar facade systems can be used in a residential building or office,
the facade material and system required in a factory will be much different.

The production conditions that take place in the factories require the use of
special materials on the facade of the building.

Climate
One of the factors affecting
the facade design is the climatic conditions in which the building will be
located. The most important feature of the building; Considering the necessity
of providing a livable interior to the users, the insulation performance of the
facade becomes equally important.
In the YDA Dalaman Airport
Project, which we are working with Emre Arolat Architects, a facade system that
will set an example for this issue has been applied. "ASPEN Sepia WoodenSuspended Ceiling Systems" with high-performance features are used in the
interior. This system took part in controlling the cool environment provided in
the space and keeping the temperature constant. Suspended ceiling technology
produced specifically for the project; acoustic pad and fabric covered.
As in the basic design point
of YDA Dalaman Airport, in the implementation of ASPEN [Sepia] Wooden Suspended
Ceiling Systems; The design approach that cares about nature and the
environment has dominated. Considering this design approach, the
"SEPIA" model was preferred for the suspended ceiling solutions of
the project. And the following; Grill, linear, acoustic panel, wooden canopy,
special solutions, wall panel, and open cell product ranges that meet the
requirements of modern architecture are prepared by ASPEN. ASPEN offers its
users environmentally friendly, economical, and long-lasting suspended ceiling
products, which have products that attach importance to natural solutions, and
where project requirements are easily met.
