In this iconic building, constructed as an exhibition space for EXPO 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan, Integra Metal Ceiling Systems by Aspen were preferred. The key structure of the exposition, was the sphere, measuring 80 m in diameter and 100 m in height. The futuristic structure, constructed entirely from steel, titanium and gigantic spherical glasses, also functions as a technology museum. The project was designed by competetion winner Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture Firm, The firm, having several world famous designs, is known to be the most important representative of neo-futuristic architecture. The project was constructed with an international team including prizewinner interior architect Khuan Chew, concert hall designer Charcoal Blue, load bearing systems designer Prof. Werner Sobek, led by Sembol Construction. With various ceiling types of Integra Metal Ceiling Systems used in the Project, the lineer continuity and design flexibilty vivified the sphere’s ceilings.
