The 1915Çanakkale Bridge is one of the world's most significant bridge projects due to its size. With a huge span of 2023 meters, it is the world's longest suspension bridge. Its 318-meter red towers make it the tallest suspension bridge as well. Let's take a closer look at this special project that connects the continents of Europe and Asia.
Location
On March 18, 2022, Turkey opened the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which is one of the country's most significant projects. The bridge connects the Gallipoli and Lapseki districts of Çanakkale, reducing the passage through the Dardanelles to just 6 minutes. It also connects the continents of Europe and Asia.
The Design
The design of the 1915Çanakkale Bridge is reminiscent of the 18 March Çanakkale Victory, which was won on the Gallipoli Peninsula. The towers, which reflect the colors of the Turkish flag, are 318 meters long. Replicas of the cannonballs of Seyit Onbaşı, the symbol of the Çanakkale Victory, are placed at the top of the towers. The feet of the viaduct are designed to remind people of the Martyrs Monument.
We are continuing our production without slowing down, while preserving our original design, quality, and product diversity values. We are adding ASPEN's value into the design of buildings with our suspended ceiling (wood/metal), partition wall, raised floor, and LED lighting products. Every week, we touch on inspiring topics with new content. This week, we took a closer look at the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and its design features.
